Miller makes a Dynasty 280 with the mig feature now....

"Power Line" makes a product called "Aluma Brite". They also make "Aluma Clean". They are very similar. I use them both for this type of crap. (Google them) Napa has a great aluminum cleaner too. This is truck stuff that is common in parts stores. Acid based wheel cleaner...

I would buy the 251 and 30-A setup. Alaska prices aren't all that great so that might be a great deal for you. By the time you bought an equivalent machine and everything that it takes to actually make it and the spoolgun function you will have saved a bunch. (try it out before you buy it) And you are...

Speaking of seats.......
I think the real test should be to put your own @$$ in the drivers seat (in a race car) and then test the cage!!

Once wrecked and wadded up, you now have a chance to anylyze the breakage

I've been on this forum forever.
It has had a few low points for different reasons.
I've gotten busy and went away a few times.
We have had people who posted tons and then for whatever reason faded out. Many times their feelings got hurt.
My gripe is simply that virtually every...

I bought the extended warranty.
It makes me happy.
It welds fantastic...... that's all I give a crap about
And parts are beginning to emerge. Plus when I want another I just go get one off the shelf.

For me head clearance would be an issue as well. Many times we have to use the Miller Mask just to have ample headroom.

I read loads of reviews and comparisons.
Shovelon, one of our members and also on Welding Web was a Beta tester on this machine....

You can buy machinable nickel rod. My wife sells it at her auto parts store. Forney makes it.
When I had the machine shop I've built up block corners and such with both nickel and 309 stainless. Used a plain old AC buzz box.
Done half a hole dozens of times. Small block chevies get starter...

Travis,
Sorry I just seen this. This is the kind of stuff I cut my teeth on years ago.
I love what you're doing here.
I would personally cut the corner of and use the FE stuff if it will work. By that I question if the balance on the FE and the Lincoln is the same. If there are no...

Well for me just #3 is gonna make him pucker, cause my idea of a "good" vice is an old school Wilton. That is if he is gonna clamp something real hard and bash it repeatedly with a sledgehammer.
I myself would try to keep it simple. The more junk you add to it the less versatile it will...
