Bobcat 250 Stator

I have already purchased the stator and installed. Everything is working great. The only difference I could find was the wiring has different numbers....

Both aux A/C windings and one exciter winding are shorted together on original stator. What could cause this....

I have a Bobcat 250 SN LF305204 Stock No 907212
The stator is burnt and has no aux A/C I have voltage on weld lugs in both A/C and DC. When I try striking a arc the stator starts smoking. I have found a used stator out of a late 2001 machine SN 314904 Stk No 903811 will this work in my machine....
