S’aright. I prefer Lincoln, but I’m about to switch gears and run some off brand stuff to find a diamond in the ruff the same way i did with INWELD 6010. That’s gotta be the best rod I’ve ran and...... INWELD, who?

Ran another weave and it came together better. So that’s 2 for...

I’m running Autoset on hardwire. Just popped a fresh 11lb roll of Blue Demon 030 in before that run.

I’ve been very pleased with it the last few days that it’s been on hardwire. I haven’t migged in about eight months or so but I am very happy with how the machine is performing even though I’m a little bit out of step and I need to get my rhythm back as you can see the machine is doing its job...

Yep. It’ll run it. This mig runs quite hot. hotter than my MM35/200 for sure and it’ll run it. I’d probably hit the duty cycle if i used it all day long, my use is intermittent through the day....

Ran C25 and hardwire and didn’t have any issues. I want to run dual shield 045 with this and i was hoping to use Autoset. Not going to happen. The hardwire did great though on my temporary setup.

I’ve got my C25 and reg out, as well as hard wire so in the am I’m going to run it and I’m sure it’ll behave properly. It never says anywhere NOT to use Autoset with fluxcore. It says here are the settings for C25 and hardwire when using Autoset....

I’m going to post the video for others to use in the future for reference when they search this issue, but the bottom line is Miller said don’t use autoset and flux core. I’ll do the field work i need to do and switch back to c25 and hardwire when I’m done.

I’ve done everything i can short of replace parts. I’ve put a new tip on, next will be a new liner. What stumped me was that i can control it manually. It only does this on autoset. Now I’ll say that it’s not perfect manually. However it’s worth noting that it’s 80% cured. I should be able...

Yes it went much smoother when i gave it more heat, though it was borderline hot. We have preferences on how we weld, but i really think the miller autoset prefers running hot from this experience....

    Issue with autoset

I’ve always called this issue burn back, miller seems to call it something else. Basically my wire is hunting and pecking in the puddle. It will hit and burn back halfway to the contact tip and hit again. I can control it fine if i turn autoset off and manually adjust the wire feed speed.

Hi, it sounds like you tinker a lot. The technical manual is too large to send by private message, but small enough to send by regular email. It doesn't have board schematics, but has more info than the operator manual in the wiring diagram, as well as voltage test points throughout the welder. It's...

    Also, Springers thoughts......

The reason this thing ended up wired so wrong was (a) i made the fatal error of assuming the PO had it right, and (b) more incorrectly wired connectors that didn’t match the colors on the opposite side and it went unnoticed. Here’s how this becomes more...

I decided since I have a new fan coming in a couple days that this one would be best used for science. So after digging around I can see that the voltage came in on the blue wire and melted it as it was just going into the core. It’s a pretty salvageable transformer, but not by me. I’m looking...

I see. Thanks! Couple more days and I’ll be back in the green. The good news about this welder is even Airgas of all places sells the fan motor.

And for good measure, a perfect board with zero heat on it after the wiring issue. I thought these boards were fragile?! Lol. Seem pretty solid to me!

Running black and white at 220 instead of red and white........ perfectly safe, if you have a spare fan....
