not likely to be a software issue, but you can try. A factory reset would pretty do the same thing for the operating system.

sounds more like its in one of the lower remote settings. Just cause the unit may have a remote, don't place the mode dial in remote....

Going to be a aux power board issue.

You have loose wires inside your input power plug ( likely). Quite common actually....
