ok, that sounds easy enough, i saw the liners lastnight around $25 to $35 bucks, cheap enough to replace or at least order in case it is bad and not have to be done another day....

When i bought it, i got a great deal, it came with all 3 setup's it had a huge rebate and i also got the spoolgun with it... and so far its def paid for itself few times overs.....

Yea i remember changing that last year when i switched to flux core wire.. ill double check the settings tonight since i now have to figure out why the wire is not feeding thru the gun liner anymore.....

how to tell if the gun liner is bad?
So I was trying to finish up some welds on the projects im working on and the gun started to act weird, and stopped feeding the wire, i opened the panel and the wire had broken off after the feed wheel. So i clipped the spool, pulled the bad wire out of the gun and fed the new wire in, pulled the nozzle...

The holes / openings in the frame are thin, dont think there is enough meat there to thread it.. its probably about an 1/8" if even that thick.
this is one of the holes, that is there on the bottom of the frame but does not go all the way through, so need some form of toggle type setup...

what is happening with my bead?
So im working on some "catalytic convertor shields" for customers cars
since im working outside and this past weekend it was really windy, ive been using gasless flux core wire to do the welding..
I cleaned and slightly beveled the ends to do the joints. besides my unsteady...

Gas line splittler??
So within the next few weeks im going to be reorganizing small section of my garage work space to better accommodate my welder and possibly modify the cheap cart im using right now to also function for all my consumables and such..
With that said, i was hoping to find a way to have 1 gas...

Yea im leaning more and more towards the miller hood. I took a look at mine lastnight and couldnt find anything to remove in order to get to any batteries, i looked up the specs on their website and found the following:- Solar powered cells with battery assist provide up to 6 years of expected life

nice, ill add that as a "pro" to my decision. Alot easier to get those batteries than those sometimes special "coin" batteries

I really appreciate all the feedback and suggestions.. im going to swap out the batteries on my current hood, but still going to buy a new one this week before my next project starts to have, i do own a passive lens hood as well, but ever since i got the auto darken one i havent gone back to use that...

Good helmet that wont break the bank
So for quite a few years i have managed with one of those $50 harbor freight helmets..its seen some better days and on occasion the auto darkening doesnt always kick in on time and i get a few of those nice little bright spots in my vision for a while..
Ive started doing alot more side...
