More practice needed.........what size filler / grade were you using? every weld looks different? Back to basic's ..........Clean material , angle of torch, stick out of tungsten 3/16-1/4" depending on cup , argon flow and on 18 gauge sheet metal use 1/16" tungsten and filler and 80 amps...

No I don't know and will not be back over to that shop tell Friday....I think it's about a 5-6" high flange by maybe 4" width........the web maybe .180 and who knows how many lbs/ft.?.It's an undersized beam perhaps metric ........If you have a Harbor freight nearby they usually have one set...

That beam just bolts up to the top of those uprights......and if your not planning on carrying weight at or near capacity you could just scab / bolt on another length of beam on one end and extend it a few more feet very easy....The uprights are heavy and do take a few guys to stand them up when assembled.....I...

Yeah that box will be heavy to get it to move at first....no telling how deep it's imbedded or how much mud it has inside...I've recovered my share of many broken down things in flood control canals / channels and getting to them and not getting stuck is one thing and getting them moving is another....broke...Last edited by tarry99; 03-23-2021, 10:44 AM.

I would first ask just what kind of budget does she have in mind for this? and then proceed from there.........based on your description of a dry creek bed and 4 ft vertical...

Is it empty? Is that an open top container that's on the bottom? Any Idea of weight?........are there any environmental concerns? both to the river / creek and the access to and from?...........I'm thinking I would drag it out of there with LGP dozer and put it on a trailer or wrecker truck with a winch...

RPM & Hertz is not anything you need to monitor continually......only need to check if you have performance issues with generator or welder....to check, put the two prongs from the meter into the 120v receptacle on the face of the welder panel...set the rpm at the throttle solenoid and go to wo...

Just going from memory on my Bobcat as I had a similar problem a while back;
First thing I would check is your Idle (2200) and Run ( 3700) RPM's..........you'll need a meter that reads Hertz at 60 cycles and you'll have to look at the specs to get the correct hertz value that corresponds with...Last edited by tarry99; 03-18-2021, 04:12 PM.

Most all aluminum trim has been treated with an alodine or anodize coatings to protect the product from corrosion.......got to grind it off in order to weld..
