Also the square wave transformer machines are pretty reliable and fairly easy to fix................and your right for the most part they don't have many...

    I Have a New 211 ( Transformer ) that a bought a few years ago.........I've been playing with Arc & Tig all my life........So I bought the 211 really just to tack things and then come back later & weld with the tig.............but I really like it and now it see's equal duty....welds up to 3/8"...

    Sorry.....been away............get yourself some disposable gloves.....and eye protection......and a few of those little acid brushes plumbers use for applying flux to copper before they solder it.......a little goes along way........might need a second coat if it's real dirty...........Home Depot sells...

  • Put the 2 quarts in it.......not going to hurt....if the oil level is too low after setting for a few weeks you'll get the next surprise that it will not start until you add oil. Oil cutoff sensor...

    A 3/4 ton truck is probably going to suffer in weight and fuel mileage if you have a welder of any consequence on board along with a set of bottles and all the other gear you may need...........I have a 1 ton dually with a 9 ft utility box and it feels the pain when in use..........the other problem...

    It's been a while since I did this research , But just about all motor oil has zinc or a ZDDP additive. It's just the lack of the PPM's that modern oil is lacking........due to Catalytic converter damage.......basic motor oil if I remember is below 800 ppms and the higher grade oils are near 12-1400...

    I've had a Bobcat 225 for decades......still does it's job when called upon for both stick and Mig......and generator.......I use Castrol 30 weight.
    Get yourself a manual and read it.....also pay attention to all the posts here on trouble-shooting those machines.........at 300 hours your in pretty...
