Due to its thermal conductivity and other issues, aluminum requires a LOT of oomph to weld. I would always err on the side of having "more than enough" heat rather than "barely enough." I suspect the Diversion 180 is gonna be at the low low low low low end of that spectrum.

Not sure I would "pressure wash" an engine that had been flooded unless I was going to disassemble it down to its individual pieces, in which case pressure washing offers no benefit... Pressure washing is a great way to drive really small grit (the best kind for grinding things down to nothing)...Last edited by Helios; 12-21-2020, 05:33 PM.
