30 AMP RV extension cord?

I started looking for an ext. cord for my future MM210 as the price of copper is still going up and I have seen several 30 amp 10-3 RV ext. cords 25' for less than $30.Would one of these work with a MM210 or should I pass and get another cord?

The cord itself is fine, it's rated for 30A at 100% duty cycle. But you would also need to figure in the cost for making adapters for the ends, or just cutting off the ends and replacing them with the same hardware that your machine uses, or if you want and don't anticipate any future problems, you can cut the end off of the machine and put an RV plug on it and the same on the wall.

Thanks.....I ordered it shortly after my post as I figured for $30 it's not a bad deal if even just for the wire.

Just one thing to keep in mind if you stick with the original "RV" plugs. That is typically set up for 110V 30A so that RV can run their ACs and other stuff without having to find 220V. Your MM210 is a 220V only machine. while the wire and stuff shouldn't give problems, there could be confusion down the line as to what kind of power was being sent to what equipment. IE: 110V to a 220V appliance = not working, 220V to a 110V appliance = letting the factory smoke out...and that stuff is REALLY hard to get back in. Just FYI SSS

DUH! I totally missed that. I recommend NOT using the RV plugs for your 240V set-up. Buy the RV cord, if you wish, but use it just for the conductors, and replace both ends.
