Dynasty 300's fate?

I see in the new Miller products catalogue that they don't list a Dynasty 300DX, only the 350. Are they pahsing out the 300 and replacing it with the 350?? If so what is the price difference?? Want ot know now if I'd better buy a 300 now if it will cost more for the 350.

As far as I know the 300 will be gone and replaced by the 350DX. The price difference remains to be seen based on individual retailers but you can pretty much figure the 350 will be more expensive. I would not hesitate to buy a 300DX at this point as it is a good machine and if you bought one new, it would still have a three year warranty from the time of purchase.

As far as the differences between the 300 and the 350 go, Here is what I know. The 350 has 50 more amps, like you stated. It may not seem like much but on an inverter like this, it will make a difference. You can also adjust the AC frequency from 20-400 Hz on the 350 whereas the 300 allows only 20-200 Hz. The pulse feature on the new 350 is capable of 5000 pps in DC mode. I am unsure what the 350 provides on the AC side but my guess would be that it is more than the current 300. The other feature that is new to the 350 is the ability to independently set EP and EN amperages. Duty cycle is somewhat improved on the 350 as well.

The only thing I can find is that I wasn't crazy about on the 350 was auto-postflow. They don't stipulate whether you can override it manually though. Hope this is some help to you.
