    BBQ prep cart

Well, Christmas is behind us and I wanted to share one of my projects. One of my sons is big into BBQ for friends and relatives. He already had a smoker so I thought a prep cart would be a good addition. I scrounged the stainless top from a local sheet metal place. It was a scrap that I had them bend a 1/2" edge. I brazed the corners and mounted it on a plywood base. It's roughly 42" long X 21" wide.

The wheels were hand made using a ring roller. I had a difficult time setting the spokes and getting the wheel and hub concentric. I built a jig to help center the hub to the rim. (if anyone has an easier way then please let me know). I used a 1/2" pipe collar for the hubs. I'm thinking about pouring babbit to make a better wheel axle with less wobble.

I bent the scrolls on my shop outfitters scroll bender. Welded it up with my MM 135.
I think it turned out pretty good for a amature....JJ
