  • My 79 chevy

Here is a picture of my 1979 Chevrolet. It is a Silverado 1/2 Ton 2WD with a 350 and TH350 automatic. This is the truck I am building the tailgate for. When I get a newer model (87 or below), I'm going to put the AEAD-200LE in the back for my back-up welding rig (not much, but better than nothing)!

Don't go talking bad about that LE. Mine has kept cranking when those other guys have gone to the house.

Hey, I wasn't putting down the LE, that thing has been great. It runs circles around other welders that my buddies have on their trucks. I was talking about the Chevy. the LE is on an 86 Chevy 1ton now that is just plain wore out. The 79 aint much either, but it runs and drives with alot less miles (114,000 vs. 300,000+)! I'm going to purchase a new trailblazer 302 and a Dodge for my full-time rig and have the 79 with the LE and a 78 I just bought with the Lincoln SA200 for my backup units. Sorry for the confusion.

          No confusion, BB

I was just funnin' ya. My LE is a sweet little machine and I feel like a redheaded stepchild most of the time using it. It just amazes me that my CST 250 will do more amps and can be carried in one hand. Boggles my mind. But I can't drag my inverter box out to a jobsite where there is no power and weld. .......Maybe some huge solar panels? I'll have to work on that concept a little.
