    The outer shaft extension was cut from a second sacrificial lock assembly. Just a saw, grinder and welder are the required tools.

    The inner shaft extension was turned on my lathe. In the pictures above you can see a Jacobs Rubberflex Chuck in my 15” Clausing Colchester lathe. The Rubberflex Chuck allows me to turn small shafts in my large lathe. Here is a side view ot my lathe with the Rubberflex Chuck mounted.

        And in addition to your Clausing Colchester lathe, I understand that you also have a Jacobs Rubberflex Chuck that looks just like the one in the picture.
