  • Weld to skateboard truck

I want to weld mild steel to a skateboard truck which i'm assuming is cast alloy.
I was planning on purchasing a propane torch (around $100 from bunnings) and braze welding.
Does this sound ok? what torch should I buy for around $100? what rods?

No. None. Not sure. In that order.

The truck is already designed to be bolted on. You would be better served by welding studs to the steel, and then using nuts to secure the truck to the studs. But for $100 budget, find a weldor to do it for you, or buy a drill.

the whole assembly is the truck but there are parts that make up the truck.

As Mac mentioned it is designed to bolt on but I assume you have a different application.

Do you need this to perform like a truck or just need the axel that holds the wheels?

If you let us know the application we could offer better advice.
