Looks Ike someone welded it once before and only welded over the crack and didn't cut it out first. It's so close to the pin boss, I not sure yet what's the best way to go about this. New pin and bushing not going to be here till next week so I have some time to fiqure this out I guess.

It's for the clam where it cylinder attaches to the bucket.
It's a part of the bucket structure. It's some kind of crap dealer installed Bucket. Sorry for the small pic. Hard to get them under 2mb without chopping them. I'll try to get better ones tomorrow.

It's a part of the bucket structure. It's some kind of crap dealer installed Bucket. Plus someone's gone crazy with the hard facing. Sorry for the small pic. Hard to get them under 2mb without chopping them. I'll try to get better ones tomorrow.

What I would do is to cut the hold boss out of the old ear and fab a new ear of the same thickness, cut new ear to fit then cut in the the old boss with the new bushing in it. Vee the new ear leaving a 1/4" gab to the main body. Put the new pin in and measure the best that you can, tack the new ear and the boss with the new pin in. Weld strong backs from ear to ear and weld with a little preheat. Let it all cool, cut your tacks from the boss and strong backs and remove the pin, reassemble with the right measurements and tack the boss and strong backs back on with the new pin in place and finish welding, let cool and go home.
