Horse shoe jig for lining up as accurate as possible

Looking for suggestions on how i could build a jig to position the horse shoes accurately and evenly so as to create a perfect layout..
Because most of the horse show projects are small table top items, i was thinking i could make a small jig to help line things up weld and move on.. maybe have my kids help place things in the jig as i weld up the first batch, also setup on a lazy susan to make it simple to move into position.

Is it possible, if i made the whole lazy susan out of steel, that i could secure to the table(with some sort of quick release) and have it ground without having to clamp directly to the horse shoes?

Just looking for suggestions on the jig for sure, but suggestions and ideas on the lazy susan would be great as well..

Aren't these hoeseshoe things considered "art"? If they are, aren't the imperfections and such part of the allure of the artisan creations?

They are i guess art, but im not looking to make them look like they came off assembly line.. The jigs are more for quick setup and weld, then spending time trying to line them up, not looking for perfect, just efficiency.

If you have one of those super awesome, full of holes welding benches, then setting up a fixture is no problem. What I do, since I don't have one of those fancy schmancy tables, is clamp chunks of square tubing or something into position so I can just stab the pieces in and get down to business. You'll have to figure out the layout so you can do several of them before you have to move your fixture for the next step. <br />

I keep various lengths and sizes of scrap for this purpose. I keep them piled up under my bench for easy access. I like to use aluminum and copper as much as I can when fixturing.

Yea i have tons of little scraps in a corner i could use to setup something to help, dont have fancy table, its a heavy duty table frame i picked up at scrap yard for like $20, need to put a top on it, but for now its serving as my welder table(where i keep the welder and small tank) Eventually it will be my welding table, maybe ill customize it so that the welder is stored on the side and also remove to do remote work..

Fixturing gets easier if you have a metal bench top to set it up on. Otherwise a "third hand" that's grounded could work.

What type of horseshoe art projects do you make ? Posting a pic will make it easier to design a jig.

so far its been simple things, like flowers, napkin holder, cross and fish.. i guess the one that would benefit more out of these would be the flowers, since those tend to be more proportionate in spacing and such, im not looking to make them perfect, more of a quicker way to setup and weld and not have to guess when laying them down to weld..
