hm 400-2 komatsu dumptruck repair

Hi there,
Im wondering if any body can help me? I have a dumptruck that has damage to the rear tray lockout eylets, if anyone has repaired them before please help me out?

Looking at the photo the top hole is for safety pin storage the bottom hole is the lock hole .Somebody raised body with with pin in lock hole and bent the frame lock hole am I correct

Not sure if the raised boss is just a plate welded on or if it goes all the way through? Either way I would remove it, straighten what's left & then weld a new plate/bushing in. If it is just a plate welded on then you need to address the hole in what is left. You can either weld it up & re-bore it or grind it as best you can or cut a larger hole & weld a sleeve in, then weld the new plate on the outside. Hope that makes sense?

Yes you are correct, they put the pin in the wrong hole to store it and was emptying the tray all day which was smashing on the eyelets.

Yes it makes perfect sense, the eyelets from the chassis are apart of one big housing that goes all the way through from left to right, so coming back from the front on each eyelet and cutting on an angle upwards were it is the straightest i think would be the solution. I am just wondering the grade of material it would be? And the best procedure to follow when welding. I have contacted komatsu but still awaiting a reply. Hope im making sense, thanks to all the replies.

I doubt that komatsu will give give you the welding perameters for welding on this. Do the frame lock holes have enough play to get the pins in now
