Guy came in the LWS where I work and needed this welded. It was broke in half so I fixed it with my Miller MM185 and 185 Spoolmate loaded with .030 4043. Put a tight fitting steel pin inside the pipe then welded it. Then removed the pin. It prob was gas welded 50 years ago..
