What about the Techsouth Powerpoint Tungsten grinder. Looks alot like a dremel tool with a customized head to accept different size tungsten. It has good reviews but the cost is over $200.00. Anyone used one of these...

Their is also another item that looks just like the above described sharpener called the Sharpie same price range.

That one, ArcZones Sharpie, and the one that CK sales are basicly the same, I had one (Sharpie) and they are quick to use and gives you a repeatable grind. I sold it because of a great deal on a PII that fell through so I am still using my HF 3" mini bench grinder, I did try chem-sharp some time ago and didn't like it, although it does work ok ... just not for me.

I've used it, several years ago. It works almost as good as grinding, & nearly as fast. So now I just grind mine.
The chem-sharp is kinda fun though, just get the tungsten hot, (either by shorting it for a few seconds at full amperage, or by heating it with a torch) then dip it in the "magic powder" move it around a little bit, pull it out & you've got a point on your tungsten!
If you've never seen it work, spend 10 bucks or so & play with it some, but I'll bet you'll go back to grinding your tungsten.

Read in a post that their is a chemical sharpening agent for electrodes. I have always ground my electrodes, but I would like to learn more about different ways in getting the point on TIG electrodes.
