Check craigslist in the Business/Commerical Section. There is a lot of industrial office furniture for sale....

That fridge is really cool! (groan)

To add another data point for Wickerdave, I also got a great deal on garage cabinets from an office furniture surplus place. Mine were $50 each (not free unfortunately), but they are pretty heavy duty. I went in looking for 2 cabinets but bought 8 when I saw them at that price. Office furniture liquidation places may not have a lot of heavy duty stuff for machine duty uses, but when they do it seems to be priced the same as the file cabinets and everything else (cheap). Now (crappy economy) might be good time to so some checking if you have those kinds of the places in your area.

Thanks guys, I was lucky enough to get the cabinets for FREE (Industial Trash)

Yes, thats an old fridge painted to look like a tool box. Here are a couple pictures of BEER Fridge. This was a kit my wife got me, CoolTool Inc, but I think they stopped selling the kits.

    Thanks,
    JH

    cabinets,

curious, did you pick the cabinets up at auction, any special place to look for them? Saw your chopper site, WOW! Wife would kill me if I got close to a big bike, but I always thought that the Boss Hog bike would be fun to run.

Thanks for compliments on the shop! The RED cabinets used to be an off white, these we picked up real cheap. We just painted them with oil based paint and a big roller. The oil base paint "flows out" so in about an hour or so, you have no brush or roller marks.

A friend of mine did something simulare, but he used old steel case office cabinets.

Here is a picture of mine before we stacked and painted them.

    Hope this helps,
    JH

I'd love to turn my workspace into a professional setting like you have created. Could you share materials or plans?

Nice job. That look like a coolant recovery system on a 400# Chinese mill. Is that a wet dog in the tray?
