  • Polishing Stainless Steel

Trying to get a #4 food service finish on a stainless project I am working on. I'll have it welded up this evening. Does anyone have any tips before I start the grinding and polishing process. From what I understand the #4 finish is the brushed finish, not the high gloss.

    Thanks

I would do the Scotch Brite thing, but start with Grey stuff then go to white stuff. As that I can not see the project, a palm sander maybe useful for doing this if the job is large enough. I think most wood working stores carry the different colors (color denotes the coarseness) of Scotch Brite.
