Hey here is my 2 cents...Take the truck heck you can make money hauling things for people. Everybody has something that they are gonna need moved sometime . Truck for hire is a good way to make those extra bucks to put towards that Tig welder. Sky is the limit and if ya get a free ride take it and don't look back. Heck my first free ride was a truck matter of fact I' m still hauling myself around in a pickup truck. Take The Truck!!!!

i bought my first mig about 3 yrs ago and i love welding. I've also gotten into cars. i getmy permit in 2 months i sold my 86 monte carlo and i dont know wether to buy a tig welder or a 4x4 truck. i live in jersey. my family has a 2wd 94 f150 pickup that i can have. i just dont know....tig or 4x4??

      Helppp
Given the fact that you are only 15 ,and that I know how expensive 4x4's are to own and maintain , I have to recomend the TIG ,unless you have a real serious need for the 4x4,as they usualy require much more driving experience than new drivers can cope with due to handling caractaristics of the 4x4's ,while they offer extreamly good Off road capabilitys they dont take kindly to driving error's and can be prone to roll over.
Also there's the common mis-conception that because they are 4 wheel drive they some how brake better(false I assure you).
The 94 F150 will make a very good work truck to haul a welding rig,and will be much less expensive to maintain.
Ultimatly which ever you do choose ,best wishes.
