I think you can try welding for your gym equipment. you can also search for a welder online.

Start by throwing it in the garbage before it seriously hurts someone. The rest of the welds on that gym equipment is probably welded just as solidly (or un-solidly). So it doesn't make sense to use it, unless it's for a place of business that has a good insurance policy for it's membership holders.

The guy said he has a mig welder.^^^^
Besides weight equipment is usually only 1/8" max a 120v 140 miller mig can handle the jobLast edited by eecervantes83; 01-27-2015, 09:48 PM.

This time, clean it to shiny steel, turn up the wire speed a bit more hold a tighter arc, do not use a 115 volt flux core machine.

Thanks , that's all I have is a mig . Will the roll bar gussets be fine ?

Grind clean. Weld. Add a gusset or two and repaint. I would probably just mig it back together.

How should I repair this gym equipment?
Went to my local gym today and one machine was down . The owner is a good friend , so she showed me the piece . I was surprised to see that the square tubing only had original two sides welded. I'm thinking I should add some gussets . I have a bunch of roll cage gussets , but I'm not sure of those or if I should use smaller square tubing on angles . The last picture is how it gets welded back together . Any advice would be great , thanks .Tags: None
