I'm Ordering A New Trailblazer 325

Ordering it tomorrow. I'm 55, I haven't welded since High school. I'm doing this because My generator died and I live in the country and must have at lest a 10K gen. So I HAVE too spend the $$. I've always wanted a Weld/Gen and think this is my chance. I have 2-tractors, a dump truck and numerous other equipment and need to be self sufficient.

So, What's your advice?
What do I get for leads? , for a big screen auto helmet, Tools?

I don't want to spend much more than 7500.

If you are getting a welding helmet, an auto darkening helmet makes everything easier.

since the holidays are approaching, if it's not needed right now, I would watch for the 25% or 30% off coupons at ZORO.com and see if that is cheaper than here

Dry Cut Saws

I don't have one personally, but have been researching them. The Dewalt DW872 usually gets good marks. Northern Tool sells a clone called Klutch Dry Cut Metal Saw that might be worth a look. The Makita LC1230 gets high ranks also, but is a 12 inch blade which could be an issue depending on the material you are trying to cut.

I do have the Milwaukee Deep Cut Band Saw, that I'm happy with.
