  • Manure Spreader Rebuild

Rebuilt the tank this summer. Customer took it home to paint it. It's all 1/4" steel plate. All work was done by myself and my forklift.

Wow that's a big spreader. They have nothing like that around here. I just replaced a floor in one. The floor was plastic sheet 1/2" thick by 5' x 14'. It was open with about 2' high sides.

Do you have a brake to bend the plates or did you have that done by someone else?

I don't have a brake. My shop is only a 40'x60' hip roof. Most days its bustin at the seams! I got my steel supplier to bend the steel. They do a very precise job of bending and only charged $300 for the job! It used 6, 10'x10' sheets with 11 bends per sheet. I'll attach a photo of a new factory built spreader that I recently sold to go into welding full time. Haven't regretted the switch!
