This is a few pics of a hammer I had to remount to a new plate.Customer called sais they broke it on a job when I got there made the decision it was wiser to just replace entire plate.They split the attach plate 3/4 the way from the top to the bottom on the rt side and was bent bad.Operator got it stuck in wall they where breaking and pryed to get it out.Sorry no before pics my bad.This is back at my shop.

Looks good. Those little units are handy but take a toll on the machine. Any machine with a hammer is usually really abused.

MMW, Thats been my experience, earth diggers tend to be easier on equipment, Thats why I like demolition guys the best.

One of my customers has a concrete Pulverizer that I work on, Those are incredible to watch.

Don't mean to hijack this thread but a pulverizer like this? This was a new used one they got after wearing out the previous one. I used to build up the teeth & hard face for this outfit until they got shut down for recycling concrete without a license. Funny thing is I always "had to test it" when done & I would spend 15-30 minutes playing with it.

MMW, The one thing I like about heavy equipment is that it doesnt take long to see if your a good welder or a bad one.

I like them to try to break it before I leave.

Absolutely correct.I tell that to pipe welders all the time.Big difference in stopping fluid or gas from leaking.Opposed to going up against hydraulics and ledge/rock.
