Is the beveled edge not supposed to be on the bottom?

No the thick edge down on this.If i was welding it into a bobcat bucket the the thin edge would be forward. This is weldable bucket lip i use for doing this.

I think the bevel should be at the bottom as well. All the blade edge I'v done the bevel had to be at the bottom. Maybe the little blades are different.

The beveled part is about 1-1/4" so when it wears, which would be quick with the thin part you are now into the the thicker section anyhow. The blade is 3-1/2"below the push board.Do it anyway you like, this is how i,ve done them for 10+ yrs have not had a complaint about it yet.

A blade like that is used mostly for pushing and there is no need for a sharp edge.

                blunt end

One nice thing with the blade like that, back dragging would be very nice. Never seen a blade like that on the mini's, most seem to round out on the bottom and is left that way. One thing I am wondering, how big of a gap is that between the end of the blade that you installed, and the edge of the mini's blade?

Very cool, I was refering to the side, I think it was pic #2. It seemed that the edge was a little shorter then the blade on the mini.

That was so i could layin a nice root pass, with a couple of filler passes.I left about 3/16 on both ends.
