thanks for taking the time to read this and for any help you might be able to offer. i am currently in the process of building a 28 x 30 metal building 15 tall. i'm having a **** of a time finding somewhere that will just sell me the metal perlins i need to finish. everybodys is intrested in selling whole packages and i don't need that. new used i don't care long as there in good shape. i'm sorry if i posted this in the wrong area

Every steel supplier and some farm and ranch suppliers sell them by the piece here. I get mine from a combination of a metal building supply and a steel supplier. Where specifically are you looking and talking to?

I'm in indiana and our local home depot sells pieces

If you can't find the pieces you need locally, try some of the fabrication shops in town. Someone can shear and brake the needed pieces and you can get them cut to fit. Dave

You're looking in the wrong places and asking the wrong questions. Google "C purlins" and see and look for two things. The first one is the descriptions they use and the second one is a retailer in your area.

One more thing, if you're not asking the right questions sometimes you'll get a really wrong answer. Any place of business that deals with professionals will have price breaks based upon quanities. A lot of them have a penalty of sorts for those who come without a clue of what to ask for. They have a price that's out of line for those folks. I know. It's not fair. But it does happen.

Mbci is a worldwide company selling metal building components. Also call your local Metal building erector ask what type of buildings he sells, then call them and say you need some components. btw(purlins)
