Hello, I'd like to do some simple aluminum TIG welding with this. Can anyone recommend an inexpensive setup for the 304 to get me started? I'm assuming the shielding gas connects to a fitting right at the power lead connection at the 304. I'm new at this.

XMT304/Aluminum
You can't tig weld aluminum with an XMT304. Tigging aluminum requires high frequency AC. The XMT is DC only as I recall.
Good luck with that.Triggerman

Good luck with that.
AC is not required to GTAW weld aluminum nor is a high frequency generator.
Please do your homework and report back later tonight with how you are wrong.TJ______________________________________
