if you don't beat the crap out of it, 5-10 years should be no problem for a HH187. more would be my guess. hobart makes a good solid home class welder. take care of it and it will take care of you.

I have heard some really great things on the HH187 and that it maybe the best Mig right now in its class.so what about durability?What about 5-10 years down the road will it be as durable(if taken care of) as other makes or maybe even better who knows.Whats your take on this issue and what make(model)in this class will stand out the best?
