Birdsell Welder

It's made by Birdsell Products and it's a model # 170 stick welder. I can't find anything on Google, so I thought I'd tap the wealth of knowledge here.
If anyone can tell me anything about this welder I'd sure appreciate it!
Thanks in advance,

Thank you for the information. This thing is probably at least 40 years old too! Well, it doesn't sound like it will replace my 302 Trailblazer, so I guess I'll start me an antique welders shelf.
Thanks again!

I was given one some 40+ yrs. ago, seems like it is a 180 amp AC cracker box(buzz box in some circles). This one has three amp settings on the lift/lower handle, 1/16",3/32,1/8". I asked an older fellow fabricators after I aquired it if he had ever heard of such a unit, Sam's response was it was probably a unit that was badged for Birdsell by some unknown mfg. Still have that ole thing stored under the work bench. Burned many a 3/32 and 1/8 w/this old unit.
Good luck
