Make sure you replace both king Pins.... Had one like it and it was the only thing I kept fixing.

That's what everyone seems to say. Most everyone around here drives Chevrolets, including myself. They're really good trucks and if I was buying one it would be a Chevy or Dodge. But hey, I'll drive a Ford if it's given to me. Worked on it a bit last night, cleaned it up a bit and put a battery in it. All the lights, radio, etc. came on but when I went to try and turn it over...nothing. Soon traced the problem to the relay so going to get one at O'Reillys tonight. Hope to have it running soon and i'll keep y'all posted.

My '93 Ford van has a 300/6 engine with 250,000 miles on the clock.
Still going strong and doesn't burn any oil.
Keep clean oil in yours and it will last a long time - great engine !
Wish I had your 4 speed !!!

Some of my most favorite vehicles have been the ones that I have got running which were someone else's trash. Good luck.

Latest Project
The guy I work for/with gave me this old pickup a couple days ago to use for a work truck. It is a 1980 Ford F150 Custom with a 300 CID 6-cylinder and a 4-speed. It was his old hotshot rig and needs some work done. Main goal right now is to get it running again as it has been sitting for a couple years. Then I hope to build a headache rack and tailgate for it and set it up to work out of. Just a little project to work on on the side of building gates and hay feeders out of his shop.Tags: None
