Having said that i would defiantly make it out of heavier material next time just for warpage purposes

You could add some exterior strakes to the bottom and sides (above the waterline).
The strakes would "stiffen" things up without adding a lot more weight.
The "mass produced" jon boats use much thinner material than you did, but gain rigidity with the strakes.Syncrowave 250 DX Tigrunner
