I just purchased a new Tillman 30" Side Split Leather Jacket, but the inside has particles of leather dust everywhere left over from packaging. How can I get rid of the dust?
Another hint Judie reminded me that when you wash leather jackets:
Pour in a whole bottle of Downey during the rinse cycle and it wont get stiff. This is a bit expensive but it keeps the jacket pliable and like new softness.
A quart or maybe 40oz size was the one that Judie bought and my jacket is butter soft. I really don't get into the laundry much except when something is broken so I really don't know the size but that is the approximation from the jug I saw.
Also another tidbit for the green jackets, washing with Borax helps retain the flame retardance and makes them last longer too. Borax also works for the hats and skull caps.
