Miller Auto Invision II

I have a miller auto invision two with a panasonic controller, it is about twelve to fifeteen years old and has never been refurbished. It is getting to wear that when it welds aluminum the weld isnt fully welding the material and the weld is just sitting on top. I have played with the feed/speed and voltage settings on it. Any suggestion of things that I may could do to improve the efficiency of the machine without refurbishing it. I know that it needs refurbishing but I cant afford it right now.

A little more info is needed. What gas you are using, what voltage, what wirespeed. Possibly your ground clamp is poor, possibly contact tip is poor/ not sized right for your wire.
