  • Tig weld with engine driven welder

I own a miller Blue Star 6000 and my work truck is set up with a Bobcat.
I have read that both these machines will tig weld?
I always thought they ment that they would function as a generator to power a seperate tig welder.
I have never tig welded and have done very little reasearch about this process.
Will these machines tig? And if so what do I need to set them up and how do you connect everything.

yes, dc scratch start can be done on any dc stick welding machine like the bobcat or bluestar

you need a manual gas valve torch, a regulator, and the proper dinse connector

...and work very well I might add! Had a chance to use them a couple times on some stainless on my last 2 jobs.
