I just submitted an easy that I did a couple of months ago. But I'm wondering about a hard that I did a couple of years ago, is that okay?

I was wondering the same thing. Can it be a not so recent project as long as it has never been entered in any other contests to date?

Danged if I know, you got pictures of it and can do the written part requirement?

Here is some of the fine print and a link to the rest of the fine print below:

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: To enter, you must: (1) create a new project that requires welding; (2) complete and submit an online entry form at MillerWelds.com/showdown for your favorite welding project and include a brief, written description of your project; (3) designate whether you are entering the Easy Category, Moderate Category, or Difficult Category; and (4) submit at least one (1) and up to three (3) digital photographs of your project. Entries become the sole property of Sponsor and cannot be returned. A project submitted in this Promotion may not be submitted in any other pending promotion operated by Sponsor.

Projects that have won a similar promotion offered by Sponsor or have been submitted in any other pending promotion offered by Sponsor may not be submitted.

ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries must be completed and received by or before 5:00 p.m. (Central) on August 10, 2010 (the "Promotion Closing Date"). Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect, inaccurate, or incomplete entry of information by entrants or late or lost entries.

They do say new project. I like the fact that Miller has the contests. But...Miller will state what the requirements are for the projects to be entered but accept projects that do not fit the criteria. I guess whoever accepts projects for Miller doesn't read the rules. Example.........Last year they had three catagories...
Projects that could be made in a day.......projects that could be made within a week........and projects that may take up to three months. I know this because I emailed Miller with questions and this was the reply. They allowed projects that the entrants even stated that their project had taken a few years to complete. I'm sure many had projects that took over 3 months but didn't enter them because of the time to build didn't fit the requirements. So........bottom line is, enter anything you want, pay no attention to the rules and you may have a shot. I'm entering a full size 747 all tig welded.
