I just purchased an almost new Syncrowave200. Set it up in the shop, tried a couple practice welds and had terrible results.
Problem : no gas flow at the torch. I verified argon is going thru the regulator and also is coming out of the hose where it attaches to the machine. When the foot pedal is depressed, no gas comes out at the torch.
Machine is set for DCEN and all other settings are factory default. Using an air cooled torch.
Any suggestions what I can check out before I give up and take the S200 into the pros at a Miller service center ??
I am a beginner interested in metal sculpting. I have about 30hrs TIG experience (class time at the Crucible in Oakland).
