After thinking a while on what would be an ideal table for my needs, I finally got started. Top is 4'x 7' x 1/2" plate, flattened. The slots will allow me to get a clamp on 85-90% of the table.4" x 5# C- channel will form the perimeter and cross supportsThe 3" square cut-outs are for the middle legs and will act as a receiver for my grinder, vise, and bender. Outer legs are 5 x 5 x 3/8"which I found in the scrap section of the steelyard. Too good of a deal to pass up. Brackets on legs are for the wheels. There will also be levelling feet at each leg. Should have it buttoned up this weekend. I am building it upside down and will flip it with either a chain hoist or forklift.

It looks like you are on your way to having a fine table. I like the acme thread for the levelers. Now I have a reason to keep the 4 8" long pieces that I was getting ready to toss out. Thanks for the idea.
Nice work.

The table is done. Finally heard the fan kick in on the 350 as I was running pretty hot on the frame. I only did small welds and not many when I attached the top to the frame to minimize the chance of warping the top. My neighbor came by and offered to help flip it, after grabbing an end and tugging on it, he bowed out. Using the chain hoist and pallet jack, i had it turned over in about 15 minutes. Looking forward to using itMiller 350P
