In my old welder , Lincoln 150 I always ran 100% synthetic.
In my new Lincoln Outback 185, They say No Synthetic at all. I use Castrol 10W 30 & in the Winter 5W30 Regular Castrol Oil !

I run Mobil One 10/30 in both my machines Bobcat 250 & 225. Over 2100 hrs on the 225 & 1500+ on the 250. I'm a believer in syns. Use it in my Harleys too. Wish I could afford it in my Powerstroke 15 qts...Ouch$$$$$$

Royal Purple

Royal Purple for me in anything that takes oil...........
TB302 10W30 all year
Dodge Cummins 13 quart motor, rear end, trans, transfer case
lathe in the shop
lawn mower
snowblower
small gear box on wire striper

After seeing what a difference that stuff make in the gear boxes at work I switched all my stuff over to Purple........

Its not cheap, But its cheap insurance.........

I wonder why they say NO synthetics..... That is so strange as all of the other manufacturers highly recommend synthetics. HMMMMMMMMMM.........

Hi; I have no idea, that's what it said in the owners manual .
No Synthetic Oil !
I use only Castrol 10w30, regular oil .

Synthetic oil

I'd run Mobil1 or comparable quality synthetic oil and be done with it.And just to give you an idea on how good it is,after 400 000kms+ on my motorcycle,the honing pattern is still easilly seen in the cylinders.Plus we run 5w30 Mobil1in the race bike cause we get 5mph extra on top speed over 15w50 and never broke because of oil yet.

I suspect you are correct. I think I read where Mobil changed their base stock because of some loop hole that was opened when some consumer laws were changed that allow a "Synthetic Blend" to be called synthetic. I guess the word blend has to appear somewhere on the container. I wonder how many people get home and realize that "the bargain" they just got on synthetic oil is actually just a blend. I am curious as to how much synthetic has to be in it to call it a blend.

I've read elsewhere that semi-syns are usually 80dino/20syn

I agree with you JL. I have Amsoil in everything. Car, truck, bike, lawn tractor, Kubota ATV and Chainsaw. Even use it in my gas radio controlled helicopter. lol

Mobil1 is 100% synthetic

Mobil does make synthetic blend oils but the Mobil1 line is fully synthetic 100%
