  • 251 vs 252

Any thoughts, which would be the better buy? Dropped price on a new 251 or the sticker price on a new 252?
I have not used either one, but my be replacing the old esab soon.
My LWS has one 251 left. I may use a spool gun in the future.

    I've got both..

I have both these welders in my fab shop. It always depends on what you are doing and what your intended purpose is, but as far as power, versatility and features the 252 is much more of a machine. I love my 251 and it has held up job after job and has made me lots of $$ with no down time all day long. compare the specs and see what works for you..

Thanks Takmig, I just don't want to make a bad choice with out asking pros and cons. Sounds like either one is good.
      Thanks, Tim.

        "Sticker Price"?

I, too, have been considering a 252. Before you pay "sticker price" for one though, take a look at cyberweld.com. It has the best price I've seen. I've bought small stuff from the firm and been satisfied.
