  • Bending Pics Part 3

I hope you aren't bored yet..

Picture 64 requires some explanation: The 180 degree bend on the left was made on the bender around a 3/8 pin. The bend on the right was made in my press brake (also in the Idea Gallery). Notice that the bend is much sharper as opposed to the radius on the left bend. The arc bend was made in the red die. Not shown would be a fixture on the machine to limit the amount of pull of the die, depending on the radius you are trying to aquire.

Hope this helps those who asked about plans.

Yes, I made the dies. Go to first post at 9:10 am on this bender. The Idea Gallery is to your right in the green box.

The table is 60 inch x 60 inch with 49 inches of tool travel. X axis has no limitation for length.

These guys are lucky to have you on board, not many can or will take the time to do an informative post such as yours. Great work as always, Dave

I had the first request for info on Sept 18. Then five more requests for same so I thought I might get off my duff and do it. I really don't know how to reach someone when they leave just a name. So I decided to put it here and put a comment on the Gallery pic stating so. Metal benders seem to be a common topic on the forum so maybe others will be interested as well. They also need to know there ars 3 posts with pics. Post # 2 seems to be getting lost.

                  Thanks for the kind words
