    Hanger for welding bottle

I was at a neighbors the other day and he had a hanger over his welding bottle. He had bought it at a farm show. When I seen it I could hardly waite to get home and make one. His had about six hooks and the one I made only has four. Anyway I thought it was very clever and thought I would pass it on.

The bottle is safe in the holder of the Miller 210. Guess I should have took a picture futher away.

It looks like a bottle of argon or argon/mix, which is an inert gas and isn't flammable, but you still have to watch out not to puncture the bottle because of high pressure. Looks neat though. What did you use to bend the shapes?

Cables are only hung on the hooks after the machine is turned off. The thing was made in a vise and a piece of rail road iron. I welded it together on the floor and on the bench and not on the bottle. Had to hook and unhook the gas to the bottle a couple of times to test the fit. No welding was done on the tank. And again the cables are not hung up until the machine is turned off.

                        Count me paranoid

I've seen the results of a mistake around a pressure vessel, my welding carts (I build) all have ground, AC, and torch holders built in. NOTHING ever touches the tank except when I put on the cap on to take it and have it refilled.

Granted - I only have C25 and Argon tanks, I don't ever want to think "oops" - that flash of a second where you know you screwed up BEFORE you feel the results. If you work with power tools on a regular basis - you would be atune to my thought process. I don't go there.
