And to think, this is the root of all that we now know when it comes to working metal...praise the blacksmith.....from a simple forge to huge crucibles of molten steel....Will it weld? I loooove electricity!

Nice looking projects you've got there. Did you find someone to teach you or did you do this by yourself?
That's a fine looking rivet forge. I suggest that you put clay or sand in the bottom before you fire it up. If it's cast iron it could crack from the heat like so many others. If it's steel the clay or sand will keep it from burning out.
I built a portable forge to take out for demonstrations. I purchased a $12.00 bathroom exhaust fan from Lowe's. The plastic cover was discarded and I covered the open side with cardboard and ductape. I cut a hole in the center of the cardboard and made a disc to swing over the hole for air control. It works great and was real cheap.
