  • Kohler vs. Robin, is one better than the other?

I have an old CCK Onan powered Lincoln 225 welder that welds like a dream but does not have 220V AC capability. I have been looking at the Miller welders and sometimes they offer a choice of a Kohler or a Robin engine. I would like some opinions as to which is better. Are there any pro's and con's for either one. Like parts availability, fuel consumption etc.

    Thanks, Rik

Here is a good thread on what you are asking. John Leisner, Miller Product Manager, participates in the thread.

I remembered the thread on the Motorsports forum a while back and did a search. Pretty much covers it as far as engines go from what I can see.
