welcome to the board. always good to have new members. feel free to ask as much as you like. there is almost always some one with an answer for ya.
.........some better than others, so think them out as you get them.
good to have ya here. do you have any welders now, or taking the class first ??

any other good welding forums around????

there is the other side of this one. you will have to re-register over there. they are working on changing that but for now you still have to.

i see you are already on the Hobart board.
welding web has some good people and info.

shop flor talk has some good info also.
Show off your projects and discuss techniques, tips, knowledge, related equipment and materials.

just like anything else, different sites have different attitudes and people. some will fit you better than others. there is plenty to be learned from them all. some will just feel more inviting than others depending on who you are.
    thanks for the help
    ......or..........
    hope i helped

              Welcome
I've looked at lots of boards and this one is the coolest by far. No big arguments and if you ask something stupid nobody will hang you over it. Although everybody busts on James for his spelling. Hes doing much better now I always knew what he meant. As I type this I just found spell checker.....LMAO

My dad has had a monkey wards cracker box for over 40 years. We put a rectifier on it in mid 70's, and it is still used. Runs 5/32 7018 real well, but won't run 6010 at all, lol. No that great a rectifier, lol. Welcome to the board. A lot of knowledge here.

Personally I don't care what color the machine is, just how it welds, heheh.
