    Greetings Mike:

To the best of my knowledge, and take that with a grain of salt, the only difference in the 15A and the 30A is the lenght of the cords/hoses. Spoolguns are the same. The "A" denotes aircooled. 15A spoolgun comes with 15' cords/hoses. 30A spoolgun comes with 30' cords/hoses. I have had a MM251 with the 30A Spoolgun for a couple of years. I have had NO problems with the 30A, and it has welded a lot of aluminum.

Can't help you with where to find the cheapest. A google search and run down the listings will probably get you the best info, or search on this forum for past threads related to spoolguns.

I see new and used 15A and 30A spoolguns offered for sale on Ebay from time to time, and they seem to go for pretty reasonable prices. They do not come up that often, and when they do the bidding is spirited. The 30' cords on the 30A let me get all over the place to weld without having to move the machine.

    Adios-----

PS: There is what appears to be a well used 30A for sale on Ebay now - http://cgi.ebay.com/Miller-30A-Spool...QQcmdZViewItem
Somehow that link did not seem to come out right. Ebay. Search. Mig Gun. You will find it.

        I will concur with him.

I purchased my 30A for my MM251, now I run it on my TB 302 and MM 350P, I don't do alot of aluminum but it does everything I need it for. It is a 200A gun so I have to be careful not to melt it down on those machines, you have nothing to worry about with the 251.
