I promised my trailer pics and finally found them. We had an old generator trailer sitting out back of the shop. I looked at it and knew I could revamp it to current needs. This was one of my first larger projects about 4 years ago. I now see things I would have done different, I guess thats normal. I took this old trailer and cut the 4" u-channel apart at all the welds and then proceeded to use the channel to help build the main part of my frame. It measures 4' X 8' with a 3' tongue. It is rated at 7000 lb with electric brakes. The tailgate is 6' with springs and a cable assisted lift. It is used to haul a 3000 lb blacktop roller along with necessary tools. The rack on the front holds all the tools, you may be able to see the upright tubes. The deck is 2 X 8 rough cut oak.
