Couldn't you just make some kind of frame like the top of this one and then weld that to your bed frame?

Pipe caps
Have you looked at 2" black iron pipe caps? Easy to weld to and look something like a bowl.

Mini dog bowls
Check some of the pet stores that have exotic birds, I have seen some small stainless or possibly just chrome plated bowls in the bird section of our local pet center and they do resemble small dog food dishes. Dave

Oh great, my dog saw it and wants one for himself
I never attempted bowls but they do make the stainless steel bowls that you could buy at a pet store or flea market in different sizes and shapes. Its not the same as making your own but sometimes, you just need to cheat.

We need a little help
Hey Guys,
My daughter and I are in the midst of a poster bed project for her dog. We have fabricated about 75% of the bed when she got a brilliant idea (actually it is clever). She wants to make four small dog bowls that are about two inches in diameter for the base for the bed to sit on. The "dog bowls" need to be made of steel and they don't need to be concave like an actual bowl. They are just going to be "feet" for the bed to sit on. She is going to weld them to the posts of the bed. I don't have a lathe or access to one so I thought I would post this on the site and someone could give me a price to make them. I have some photos of the project and they are as follows:
1.The bed
2.Another shot of the bed
3.The dog bowl (just an idea it does not have to be an exact copy)
4.The owner of the bed
5.The boss of the whole operation!
Thanks,
NickTags: None
