i love it! it seems to have better arc characteristics than the trailblazers that i have, a whole lot more quiet, and it gets really good fuel economy. what i dont like is that its a little top heavy, and the truck gets a little squirly off-road. if given the chance to trade off all my gas burnin engine drives for low rpm diesel, i would with a quickness tho

What year Trailblazers do you have? My 2007 seems pretty decent but I don't have much to compare it to... well other than my inverters (Dynasty 200 and XMT 304). I DO know the Pro 300 is WAY quieter and that's never a bad thing.
I don't do enough portable yet to justify a diesel machine, hopefully someday.

i have a 99 (i think) 250 trailblazer and a 2008 275 dc trailblazer... they are great machines, dont get me wrong, but the fuel economy of the diesel is FAR better than a gasser... and alot quieter

The only penalty is the extra weight and the added expense, all depends on what you do. It is kinda interesting that the 302 Trailblazer has more auxiliary AC output while welding than the Pro 300 has. Just a little bit of trivia for you.
