I would agree with bob that a 4xxx series filler would probably be the most suitable.

...but, I also race Baja (Trophy Truck and PRO-Truck, not bikes) and I don't know of any rider that uses a kickstand on a race bike.

I'm curious as to why he wants it on there.

What's his name? Maybe I'll just ask him in November if I see him down in Mexico.

Many of the Aluminum frames today are a mix of castings, forgings & extrusions. 4XXX filler should probably suffice.

    started a topic Dirt Bike

    Dirt Bike

Just wondering... Found out this guy tonight is going to ride in th Baja 1500
next year. Not bad riding a dirt bike through California for 1500 miles, eh?
'specially for a 65 year old!!!
Right now I just got my Dynasty 200DX. Offered him any help he needed so I would have a project and perhaps start to get side jobs on dirt bikes in the future. Question: He said his kickstand tab is aluminum and needs to be tigged back on. Any hints to what type of aluminum it is and how should I weld it (settings, etc.). Don't know what kind of bike he has or ANYTHING about dirtbikes! I won't be able to see it till next weekend...
    thanks
